No way did he do that stomp on accident. After the match, his teammates tried to exonerate him of all guilt in front of the press. Great sportsmanship…
This happened here in Belgium, last week and it’s a big scandal in the press. So I’m really curious to see if there will be criminal charges against the guy. Not holding my breath though…

Hi Wim, great batch of stuff here on your blog. I’ve read for awhile and just thought I’d say hey. That last soccer kick is a doozy, even with training though I had to watch it a couple of times to really see what happened, I can see why he thought it’d slide by without anyone calling him on it.
That is screwed up. I like to believe in Karma, obviously this guy doesn’t.

Yeah, he probably figured the ref wouldn’t see it. But the camera sure did.
The guy is getting death threats from all over, even from the Polish national team. I think he’ll have a wee bit of a adrenal dump next time he steps on the field against them…
